Deedie Layman

Deedie Layman, a native of Elizabethtown, became a licensed real estate salesperson in 1969 and has been affiliated with Best Realty since 1971. She received her broker’s license in 1985 and became a principal broker in 1993. Deedie is a graduate of Elizabethtown High School, attended the University of Kentucky, and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education. She briefly taught in the Fort Knox School System and at St. James in Elizabethtown. Deedie created the Adopt-a-Pet program in conjunction with Hardin County Animal Control which earned her the Big E Award in 2003 from the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. She is married to Bob Layman, broker and developer. Deedie specializes in relocation, residential and commercial real estate.

Kent Gibson

Kent Gibson is a Hardin County native. His formal education includes graduating from the Hardin County School System and then attending Western Kentucky University. He graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. While at WKU, Kent received several academic honors including being named to the “Sigma Delta” honorary fraternity. Since graduation, Kent has completed extensive graduate work in the area of “counseling” and “public service”. Kent began his real estate career in 1976. During his real estate career, he has received many honors such as being named as one of “Americas Most Referred Realtors”. The readers of the New Enterprise also voted Kent as one of the top three realtors in Hardin County. Kent has been very active professionally and civically. He is a past vice president of the Heart of Kentucky Association of Realtors and past director. He received the prestigious “R.R. Thomas Award” presented by the Hardin County Planning Commission for being an outstanding “developer” in Hardin County. Kent Gibson’s goal has been to provide the best service possible to his clients.

Brad Travis

Brad Travis has lived in Elizabethtown since 1967. He is a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and has been married to his wife Gayle since 1983. Brad and Gayle’s family includes their son (Zac), daughter and son in law (Katie and Myles) and a wonderful granddaughter (Leigh). Todd Edlin

Todd Edlin has been a resident of Hardin County for the majority of his life. He attended the University of Kentucky after graduation from Elizabethtown High School. Todd completed his marketing degree with honors from University of Kentucky in 1984 and completed an MBA in Technology Management in April 2006. Todd acquired his real estate license in 2004 while also working as an It director at UPS. Todd recently retired from UPs after 35 years and is now focusing on real estate and enjoys interacting with clients to find a home that fits their lifestyle! Todd and his wife, Teresa, have been active investors in the community over the years and they have two children.

Judy Boyd

Judy Boyd joined Best Realty in 2012. She is a native of Brandenburg and is a graduate of Meade County High School. She has lived in Elizabethtown since 1971. She has two sons, Todd and Scott, and two grandsons. Judy graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s in School Counseling, and a Rank I in School Administration. Jim Holman

Jim is a third-generation resident of Hardin County who grew up[ working alongside his father, Jerry, in the family welding business. Jim played football at Elizabethtown High School and graduated in 1985. Jim attended Western Kentucky University and earned an English degree, a Master’s degree in School Counseling and a Rank I in School Administration. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Jim taught middle and high school English at Meade County High school, J.T. Alton Middle School, John Hardin High School and East Hardin Middle School. Jim retired from teaching in 2019 after 27 years. Jim and his wife Laura enjoy freshwater/saltwater fishing and boating.
